Togo has launched an international tender for equipment to extend the smart-metering system of electricity utility CEET, according to the official government portal on 21 September 2026. The procurement covers 1,200 modems for medium-voltage meters and 4,000 data concentrators for low-voltage smart meters, alongside associated meters, cables and accessories. The modems are intended to connect medium-voltage meters to CEET’s smart-meter management platform. Data concentrators will support the collection and transmission of information from low-voltage meters. The announcement concerns a procurement process; it does not establish that a supplier has been selected or the equipment installed. Delivery is required within 240 calendar days following notification of the approved contract, followed by 180 days of related services. Bids are due by 28 October 2026, with technical bids scheduled to open publicly that day at 10:30. A bid security of CFA50 million is required. The operation continues the Revenue Protection Programme, partly financed through an International Development Association credit under the Inclusive Development through Electricity Access project. The portal does not disclose an awarded contract value or a completed installation schedule.
